The Pasco Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the matter and is asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to the Pasco Sheriff

, the office is aware of a screenshot of a school threat circulating on social media among students from multiple Pasco County schools. A companion alert posted by

Pasco Sheriff's Office

stated plainly that the message does not specify any specific school or location, and confirmed that PSO is investigating.

What Deputies Are Asking Of The Public

Since the screenshot doesn’t point to a particular school, deputies are leaning on the public to help fill in the gaps. The sheriff's office has asked that anyone with information please report it immediately to law enforcement at 727-847-8102, option 7, according to the same alert. For life-threatening emergencies, residents are still directed to call 911 rather than the non-emergency line.

The sheriff's office account that first flagged the screenshot describes itself as the official Twitter for the Pasco Sheriff's Office, serving the West Central Florida area, and it notes the account is not monitored 24/7 — meaning urgent concerns should go through the phone lines listed above rather than social media replies.

No Confirmed Target, No Confirmed Outcome

No Confirmed Target, No Confirmed Outcome The message names no specific school or location, and the sheriff's office is investigating.

Pasco County has dealt with a string of school-threat scares in recent memory, though each has unfolded differently. In one earlier case at the Hudson area campuses, deputies identified the student involved and no weapon was located, with the sheriff's office determining that the threat of a weapon was made as a joke, according to a separate school alert from the agency.

Other Recent Pasco School Cases

In a different investigation tied to a string of swatting incidents at River Ridge school campuses earlier this year, the sheriff's office announced it arrested a 14-year-old River Ridge High School student, per another alert posted to the agency's news site. That case and the Hudson incident are separate matters from Thursday's circulating screenshot and are not being presented as related outcomes.

Pasco schools have also seen threat-related arrests reported elsewhere this year. A 16-year-old Sunlake High School student was arrested over alleged written threats posted online, according to Tampa Free Press. None of these past cases confirm what is behind the latest screenshot now spreading among students, and the sheriff's office has not released further details on its investigation.
