Opened October 17, the exhibition runs through February 14 and brings together paintings, objects and sculptures by artists including Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, René Magritte and Eileen Agar, according to Artis—Naples.

Rather than following one artist or a single national school, the exhibition is arranged around ideas central to Surrealism: dreams, desire, the natural world, political freedom, unexpected objects and the unconscious. The museum says the show was organized with Tate and curated by Matthew Gale; its selection spans five decades of work.

A movement revisited around its centenary

The Naples exhibition is one of several distinct presentations that have brought Surrealism to museum audiences in recent years. The Philadelphia Museum of Art presented Dreamworld: Surrealism at 100 from November 8, 2025, to February 16, 2026, as part of an international project with earlier presentations in Brussels, Paris, Madrid and Hamburg. The Philadelphia museum tied that project to the 100th anniversary of André Breton’s 1924 Manifesto of Surrealism.

Another example came in Shanghai, where the Museum of Art Pudong presented Fantastic Visions: 100 Years of Surrealism from the National Galleries of Scotland through August 31, 2024, ARTnews reported. These exhibitions offer useful context for the Naples show, but they are separate projects with different collections and scopes; their timing alone does not establish a broader trend in attendance or exhibition frequency.

For visitors, general admission to The Baker Museum is $10 for adults and $5 for students and active military, with children 17 and under admitted free, according to Florida Weekly. Artis—Naples says the museum participates in Museums for All: visitors presenting a SNAP EBT card and valid photo ID can receive admission for $1.
