An upper -level trough in the jet stream is shifting south across the region. Cooler air filters in, and winds strengthen. Gusts will range from 30- 40 mph. This will result in blustery conditions and large waves. Lake effect snow continues along the northerly and northeasterly wind belts overnight through Friday morning. Snowfall projections will be around two inches in the highlands of Baraga and Western Marquette counties. Watch for wet, slippery road conditions on your travels.
