It will run from January 2028 to December 2032.According to previous reporting, Superintendent David Hall said the renewal of the two revenue sources to maintain existing educational programs and services rather than expand district operations.Hall did not respond for to a request for comment Tuesday night. The cost for Issue 8 is not determined by the value of a taxpayer’s home. The amount owed depends on qualifying income.Issue 9 is a renewal of an existing 1.3-mill property tax levy expected to generate about $294,944 annually.The owner of a home valued at $100,000 would pay about $27 annually.District officials previously said Issue 8 is the larger revenue between the two issues, and it was included in its five-year financial forecast, meaning the forecast assumed the revenue would continue.Issue 9 is a smaller portion of district revenue, but would continue approximately $294,944 in annual property tax collections.
