We’ve just got a ton of people that are wanting to stay the three days out there. I think we’re at 17 tent campers in addition, so it’s definitely taking off. People are hearing about it. They’re knowing about it.”One of Music at the Patch’s goals is to celebrate the music of great artists without the sticker shock that comes with popular concerts and festivals.“Not everybody can go pay $400 for Morgan Wallen, you know?”The festival offers $35 one-day tickets, and $60 three-day passes. For an RV or tent camper, a $150 fee covers a site and two full-festival passes. Nelson-Smith noted that overnighters will enjoy low-key, after-hours performances at the campground. The event is fun for the whole family. Kids ages 10 and under receive free admission, and some of the pumpkin patch’s kid-friendly attractions will remain open for the festival. There will be “all kinds of vendors,” Nelson-Smith said, including a variety of food options and an on-site festival bar.Gates open at 3 p.m. on Thursday, and the first set, On the Road Again, a Willie Nelson tribute, kicks off at 5:30. After that, Toby — Tribute to Toby Keith will take the stage to commemorate the late country songwriter. Thursday will also feature some acoustic acts in the Rusty Barn Cantina. The music will end early that night at 9 p.m.“We want the RVers to be able to go back to their RVs and enjoy their friends and campfires and make their own drinks,” Nelson-Smith said.On Friday, doors open at noon sharp, and the music begins at 1 p.m. with Properly Chill, a local rock and country outfit that plays “'Bad to the Bone' kind of music” as Nelson-Smith described it. Then, a George Strait tribute group will precede an acclaimed duo playing the music of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers as well as Country Divas, a group that honors generations of country women. The “No. 1 attraction for the weekend” will be the Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Tribute, which will deliver tunes from two of modern country’s most beloved performers.Day two will close out with Exit Light, a Metallica tribute that takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.“You get a little rock and roll, you get a little country,” Nelson-Smith said. The final day follows Thursday’s schedule, opening with Total Recall, a local seven-piece cover band with an eclectic, generation-defying setlist. A John Cougar Mellencamp tribute and a band playing '90s alt-rock will follow, before Marana-based band Sunset Red takes the stage.“We had her out there last year and everybody said they loved her, so we brought them back,” Nelson-Smith said. “Her dad’s the guitarist and she’s the lead singer, and I mean, she has one heck of a voice and we love that she’s from Marana.”The festival will close out with Keith as Kenny, a Kenny Chesney tribute, and The Dirt, which is a 1980s rock party.“I would say if Kenny and him were standing together, they would look like twins. He looks like him, he sounds like him, and he dances like him.”“And then our last band of the weekend is called The Dirt. They’re like late '80s and '90s hair bands. They’re anywhere from Mötley Crüe, Poison, Whitesnake, Def Leppard. Very high energy. Lots of people really enjoyed them last year, and so that’s who’s finishing the weekend.”</div></body>
