While Community Coffee has remained in the hands of the Saurage family since 1919, FriendShip Kitchen recently began a new chapter as a 100% employee-owned company. “Despite their different ownership structures, both organizations have built their reputations by earning the trust of the communities they serve through consistency, integrity and an unwavering commitment to quality,” the statement continued. “Selecting a coffee partner is about much more than serving a great cup of coffee,” said Kirk Matthews, vice president of retail for Beck Suppliers and FriendShip Kitchen. “We wanted a partner whose values matched our own. Community Coffee has spent more than a century earning the confidence of families through quality, consistency and genuine care for the people they serve. As an employee-owned company serving communities across Ohio, those are exactly the kinds of values we want reflected in the FriendShip Kitchen experience.”Founded in 1919, Community Coffee has been guided by five generations of the Saurage family. The rollout also supports FriendShip Kitchen’s continued investment in becoming a food and beverage destination. Over the past several years, the company has expanded its proprietary FriendShip Kitchen concept across Ohio with larger-format stores, upgraded kitchens, premium beverage programs and FriendShip Famous Chicken, its signature fresh food brand.“Our guests expect more from FriendShip Kitchen today than they did even a few years ago,” Matthews said. “Every decision we make is focused on creating an experience that is worth coming back for. Great coffee belongs alongside fresh food, friendly associates, and stores that reflect the pride our employee-owners have in serving their communities.”The addition of Community Coffee represents another step in FriendShip Kitchen’s long-term strategy to “strengthen every part of the guest experience while building a distinctive regional brand that stands apart from national convenience store chains,” the retailer noted. “That strategy is guided by a simple philosophy — lasting brands are built one guest, one visit and one thoughtful decision at a time.”Community Coffee is now available at all FriendShip Kitchen locations throughout Ohio.</div></body>
