The overview provided below is designed to assist our community in learning more about these reports, the purpose and our future.The enrollment projections report from RSP & Associates is a proactive tool to inform the board and the community. It will serve as a resource in ensuring our staffing matches our enrollment into the future.<ul><li>The enrollment report from RSP & Associates projects the high school enrollment at 98 percent capacity beginning next fall (2027) and into the 2030-2031 school year. This projection assumes all students are in the building all day, every day, and does not take into consideration the intricacies of the overall high school schedule. District leaders and administration have been preparing for this increase for some time now. We have the capacity and forethought in place to ensure our students continue to receive the same, high-quality experience through this time period.</li><li>The report projects a decrease in overall enrollment in the coming years. Multiple factors contribute to this projection, including but not limited to, a 10 percent decline in the Linn County birthrate over the past 5 years, a lower turnover rate of housing units within the district and use of Education Savings Account funds. These factors are not unique to Linn-Mar, and are impacting many districts across the state.</li><li>At Linn-Mar, as staff retire or explore new opportunities within our district/elsewhere, we are continually making strategic decisions in addressing staff openings. This strategy allows us to ensure our staffing matches our enrollment and that we are equipped to meet the needs of our students now and into the future. This has been our practice for many years and will continue to be our practice in the future.</li></ul>The facilities assessment report from OPN Architects is intended to be a living, breathing, planning tool to assist us in making decisions about improvements and annual maintenance of our facilities. Next steps will include engagement with the Facilities Advisory group and Finance/Audit Committee to prioritize, align projects with funding sources and determine our initial actions.</div>
