More than $600,000 of that money was designated for the Texas J Regional Advisory Council (Texas J RAC – West Texas) and now Medical Center Hospital, along with Rankin County EMS and J RAC are implanting this program locally.In addition, the two entities have agreed to partner in an effort to avoid wasting any whole blood purchased. Any blood that is purchased through the program an unused by Rankin County EMS after 14-15 days, will be “rotated” to MCH for use and to avoid having the blood sit and expire.
