(FOX26) — Mother Nature may be a little confused for the next week as we change seasons from Summer to Fall. Look for skies to turn partly or even mostly cloudy at times for the last few days of Summer, with highs in the Valley near 90. Fall officially begins on Tuesday, and right after that, Summertime heat is set to return with highs in the middle to upper 90's for the rest of the week in the Valley. A high in the triple digits is not out of the question on Thursday, either.</p><p>Let's look at the nicer weather first, and we can start with Saturday. The weekend started a little warmer than last week ended, but most cities avoided 90 again... barely. Madera had a high of 88, while Fresno, Visalia, Tulare, Merced, and Hanford all topped out at 89 - not too hot to play some games on the midway at the Tulare County Fair!</p><div style="position:relative;width:100%; height:0; padding-bottom: 56.25%;"><iframe allowfullscreen src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/r85Hgdm1sFQ?enablejsapi=1&version=3&playerapiid=ytplayer" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:100%;top:0; left:0; position:absolute"></iframe></div><p><b>Above:</b> Could it be a different flavor of El Niño coming our way? The last Very Strong El Niño in 2015-16 brought merely average rainfall to California, but signs are pointing to this El Niño being wetter.</p><p>Sunday will see temperatures warm into the lower 90's, but skies will turn partly cloudy, taking just a little edge off of the warmth. Low pressure from the Pacific will move onshore on Monday, keeping our skies partly cloudy and dropping highs back into the upper 80's on the last full day of Summer.</p><p>The sun will return on Tuesday, and the 90's should mostly return then as well - we'll see highs right around 90. The Autumnal Equinox (beginning of Fall) is at 5:05 p.m. PDT Tuesday evening.</p><p>The first few days of Fall will feel more like Summer, with highs returning to the middle 90's on Wednesday, and upper 90's to near 100 on Thursday. Look for upper 90's as we finish off the week, but less hot temperatures next weekend as a disturbance moves into the Pacific Northwest and weakens high pressure over California.</p></div></body>
