(KWQC) -- We start the weekend with--you guessed it--more wet weather making for a soggy Saturday across the region. Look for repeated rounds of heavy rain, prompting flash flooding concerns for some locations. A FLOOD WATCH remains in effect through early Sunday morning for many of our northern counties, which could see an additional 1″ to 3″ inches. The rain is expected to become a bit lighter and decrease in coverage during the day on Sunday into Monday, followed by a cooler, drier period as we head into the work week. As far as temperatures are concerned, we’ll see readings either side of the 80 degree mark this afternoon, then highs in the lower 70’s Sunday, followed by 60’s Monday through midweek. Get ready for an early taste of fall.
QUAD CITIES FORECAST AT A GLANCE
TODAY: Mostly cloudy with areas of fog possible. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Periods of heavy rain. High: 81°.
