Thursday’s Forecast
By Wesley Williams,
2026-09-17Drier air has moved in from the east. Plan on some noticeable changes to our weather pattern for the next few days. Expect plenty of sunshine with little to no rain. Mornings will be a few degrees cooler than recent weeks: low temps could drop to the middle 60s in some inland spots but closer to the 70s along the coast. Afternoons will still be hot but will feel more comfortable: high temps in the lower 90s with a heat index that is only in the 90s. Any lower humidity will gradually fade this weekend. Saturday looks to bring many rain-free hours with only a stray shower, if that. Sunday could see a couple of spotty showers but still features sunshine too. An area of unsettled weather looks to stay mainly to our east, targeting Florida with rain from this weekend into early next week. For now, we’re expected to stay to the west of that. So our weather generally looks hot and humid with a chance for pop-up showers each day next week. Fall officially begins next Tuesday.
