The event offers families and friends a chance to welcome fall while enjoying local music and seasonal activities.Gary Martin will open the evening with live music from 5-6 p.m. The Truckey Road Roughnecks will perform from 6-7 p.m., and High Speed will close the concert from 7-8 p.m.Guests also can enjoy a hayride provided with help from Don’s Ford Tractor and Dan Kirschner. Wilson’s Lasting Expressions will bring its flower wagon filled with fall flowers available for purchase. Younger visitors can take part in a special pumpkin activity.Several local businesses will offer warm food for purchase. Friendly Foodies will serve potato chowder and maple porter chili. HopSide will offer pickle chowder, and Mangos will serve chili.The event is presented by Thunder Bay Arts Council, a nonprofit organization that grew from a local effort started by Northeast Michigan educators in the 1970s. The council supports performing and visual arts, arts education and cultural programs across the region.Thunder Bay Arts Gallery is one of the council’s programs. Located in downtown Alpena, the gallery displays and sells work by local and regional artists. The gallery is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sundays and holidays.The gallery is at 127 W. Chisholm St., Alpena.
