This largely stationary pattern stays in place for the next few days, resulting in the chance for daily showers and thunderstorms this week. The heat and humidity show no signs of leaving either, which will act as fuel for any storm that develops. As we get into Monday and Tuesday, we’ll have trough start forming, which will bring a more organized storm threat to our area. As a result, the Storm Prediction Center has us under a slight risk for severe weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. Any severe storm that forms will have damaging wind gusts as the primary threat.Highs remain in the upper 80s to mid 90s across the region this week, with Monday and Tuesday being the hottest days. Any storm that forms could result in much cooler conditions for a brief period of time, but we don’t have much other relief heading our way in the near future. </div></body>
