(WTOK) -It’s almost back to school time for most schools across East Mississippi and West Alabama, and today, the Neshoba County School District held its annual convocation. Over 250 administrators, teachers and other employees were on hand at the Ellis Theater, as they prepare for the new school year. The group was treated to performances by the Neshoba Central Rockettes, the national championship cheerleader squad and nationally acclaimed motivational speaker and chaplain of the NFL’s New York Giants -- Gian Paul Gonzalez.“As I always tell a lot of individuals I work with, you never have to say what if,” said Gonzalez. “You can say I gave my best and it didn’t work out. We didn’t win the championship game, or I didn’t get that position, or it didn’t click that one day. You never have to say what if. What if I stayed extra with this student in the weight room. I think that message is common.”The Neshoba County School District, led by Superintendent Josh Perkins, will begin the new school year Thursday, July 30th. </div></body>
