An underground parking stall and storage unit are also included. The American Cooperative of Rochester requires at least one applicant per household to be 62 years old or older.“At first glance, you might think, ‘Oh boy, that’s too nice — I can’t afford that.’ But you’d be really surprised by, A, how much your house is worth. People often have no idea of the true value of their home, and, B, the creative solutions we can come up with to see if this is right for you,” said Conlan.Construction will begin once 60% of the shares have been sold. The cooperative is planned for a site northwest of Essex Park, on the corner of 18th Avenue NW and 55th Street NW.The American Cooperative of Rochester will offer luxury amenities for residents, including a movie theater, fitness center and car wash.
