But his morning coffee brought quite the surprise.“I noticed something had changed and got a better look at it, and well, you can see we lost a tree,” Monroe said. “It missed what it could miss, and I mean, it couldn’t have really have fell much better.”The moment was a near disaster in every direction. Not only did the tree almost crush Monroe’s home, it landed feet away from a full propane tank.It also mangled a light pole, and blocked the driveway—all the way.“My vehicle is stuck in the shop back here, and it’s the only entrance into the backyard,” Monroe said. “Of course, I park it back here to protect it from the storm, and now it’s really parked!”At the end of the day, Monroe said he’s glad that’s the worst of his problems.“The lucky thing is we really got away without any major damage to the structure, just a little bit of tin bent over from the edge,” he said.As for the odds of something like this happening, Monroe said—he’s stumped.“I guess the southern wind blew it where it wanted to go, and that’s where it landed,” Monroe said. “There she blew.”</div></body>
