HAVEN Music Venue Closes Indefinitely Due to Permitting Issues

HAVEN, an independent music venue located in a church on the corner of Atwood and Bates streets in Pittsburgh, has closed indefinitely after receiving a stop-work order from the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections. The closure was announced by Post Genre and the HAVEN team on Thursday via an Instagram post. Post Genre initially used the space for temporary concerts in February 2024 and planned to open HAVEN as a full-time venue in January 2025. Despite working with the Pittsburgh Innovation District, their landlord, and the city to secure long-term permits, numerous setbacks have extended the process beyond initial expectations. All ticket sales are now closed, and refunds will be issued to those who purchased concert tickets.
