The project will start just south of Glacier International Airport and extend north to just south of the intersection with Montana Highway 40, MDT announced.The proposed work includes full depth asphalt removal and replacement in the driving lanes, partial depth removal and replacement in the shoulders and turning lanes and full width seal and cover. Additional improvements will involve crack sealing, new pavement markings, signage, delineation and shoulder rumble strips. There will also be traffic signal radar detection upgrades at the Glacier International Airport intersection.The primary goal of this project is to prolong, preserve, and improve the ride of the existing roadway. Construction is tentatively planned for 2027, contingent upon design completion and funding availability. No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be required.MDT urges the public to comment here.</div></body>
