The CDFW stocked trout here this week, the first plant of the season. There is another scheduled trout plant at Ming the week of December 21st. Anglers are finding trout on minijigs, spinners, garlic-scented baits, and worms. Bass action has slowed somewhat, but fish are still being caught on finesse soft plastics, jigs, and crankbaits. The crappie bite has remained steady the past couple of weeks during the late afternoon, with minijigs and live minnows producing well. Bluegill continue to bite on wax worms, meal worms, and red worms.
