One that some have called a crater."It's like, let a problem sit there and continue or take the chance of repercussions and just fix it,” said Paul Molnar, owner of Platinum Maintenance.Molnar and his family were driving on the road near Walmart when they noticed the massive pothole. He said it's been an issue for some time, and he even witnessed a possible accident first-hand due to the pothole."We had a car swerve into our lane to clear that and they almost T-boned us in the door,” Molnar said. “That was just last week, and I said I’ve had it. I kept seeing people’s posts and said it’s time someone does something about it."Molnar and his maintenance crew jumped into action and took extra material he had from a recently completed job to fill the pothole himself. Then, he took to social media and posted in the 'What's Happening in Marshall County' Facebook group where a lot of people have voiced their complaints about the pothole. From there, his post took off and gained thousands of likes, shares and reactions from the community."We've had some people tell us the possibility of fines, things like that,” Molnar said. “I personally don’t care. I would gladly do this again and get fined if I had to, but a lot of people are happy and excited about it."According to Moundsville City Manager Rick Healy, some potholes become the responsibility of the businesses adjacent to them.NEWS9 reached out to Walmart about this issue but have yet to receive a response. As for Molnar, he said it's been a rewarding experience and is hopeful that someone will take more action soon on the rest of Walmart Drive because there are several other potholes."Myself, I'm a car guy and I know I wouldn’t want to hit something like that in my truck,” Molnar said. “So, I hope that maybe we can start something where people actually come and start fixing them and start doing something about them, whether it’s the state, private or someone that’s bored and wants to donate a little bit back to the city."Next up, he is looking to help fill more potholes at the request of people who have reached out. These are in locations like St. Clairsville and Moundsville.</div></body>
