Rain lingers into Monday morning but clears for most of the parade

2025-03-16A powerful spring storm charged into the tri-state area Sunday night, pelting the region with wind gusts up to 40 mph and rain that was heavy at times. This is the same system bringing deadly storms to the Midwest on Friday and the Southeast on Saturday. Those regions got hammered by strong tornadoes, destructive wind gusts and baseball-sized hail. But the system is not expected to be severe by the time it reaches our area with the strongest weather staying to the south.
