CO-OP closed has been operating in Eau Claire for 90 years and has been proud to evolve from its first two-pump gas station to a once-thriving department, grocery, and chain of convenience stores. The Co-op weathered many hardships, with this year being one of the most challenging. During the last six months, significant cash flow pressures were caused primarily by reduced fuel margin of over 19%, all while the Co-op worked to recover from its restructuring efforts. Unfortunately, these continued pressures resulted in a position of insolvency. The Co-op’s Board of Directors were compelled to make the difficult decision to close the remaining Mega! CO-OP locations effective March 14, 2025.

Mega! CO-OP is grateful for the ability to serve the Chippewa Valley community for 90 years and offers particular thanks to all of its loyal co-op members, employees, and patrons.
