(WHSV) - City officials are still accepting public feedback on proposed improvements to South Main Street near Exit 243, following a recent open house hosted by Harrisonburg Public Works on Wednesday.</p><p>The project, funded through the VDOT SMART SCALE program, aims to enhance safety and traffic flow by adding new turn lanes, medians, sidewalks, and pedestrian crossings.</p><p>During the open house held at the Public Works administration building, residents learned about the proposed changes and had an opportunity to share their input. Planned improvements include additional turn lanes at key intersections, a new median along most of the corridor, and enhanced pedestrian infrastructure.</p><p>Residents can still submit feedback through an online questionnaire, available until April 9. Written comments may also be submitted via email or phone to the Harrisonburg Public Works department.</p></div></body>
