(WTOK)—A local business is helping people get into their first homes, no matter their financial status.American Dream Homes works with people who have low credit scores, single mothers, and anyone else who is looking to buy their dream home. The business offers unique programs through the federal government that offer 20,000 dollars in assistance and another program that covers the down payment of the house. Angie Harris, one of the credit consultants, tells News 11 why she wants to help others find their dream home.“When I bought my first. I had no assistance, and I was very unhappy. I didn’t know anything about becoming a homeowner, and I wanted to do something that would actually help. Someone who’s never purchased a home. It’s a lot involved, and if you do not understand the process, it can become very frustrating,” said Credit Consultant Angie Harris.Harris has helped many others get into a place to live through multiple assistance programs and loves helping someone even when they think there is no hope of finding a home.“We just had another gentleman. Woohoo, he had no credit scores and never bought a home. He now has a 750 credit score. So I am partnering with a lot of banks and mortgage companies to help get more people to become homeowners and to make their dream home come true,” said Harris. If you have questions about the program, call 601-994-1112 or visit 2518 Sellers Dr, Suite 5, Meridian, Ms.</div></body>
