    Oktoberfest returns to Tuscaloosa September 21

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Oktoberfest, presented by Visit Tuscaloosa will be returning to Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Sept. 21.

    There will also be a 5k run benefiting the American Cancer Society and a German-themed festival featuring food, drinks and family-friendly entertainment. The event will occur from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Druid City Social.

    “Visit Tuscaloosa is excited to host Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz U.S. International and their 5k race,” said Kelsey Rush, Visit Tuscaloosa president and CEO. “We recognize the community’s enthusiasm for more events, and with our deep ties to Mercedes and our Sister City in Schorndorf, Germany, we are proud to see this festival become a highly anticipated annual tradition.”

    General admission tickets are $15, children 12 and under get in free and will have access to a variety of activities. VIP tickets are also available for $75 and features a package with food, special seating for the dachshund race and more. For more information, click here .
