We're all trying to ball on a budget, especially in this economy. I especially try to save money where I can but sometimes when I hear of a ~life changing~ purchase, my ears perk up. That's exactly what happened when I came across this Reddit thread that shared purchases under $100 that people believe will actually change your life. Here is what some people said:

    2. "If you're down to your last $100 and totally bankrupt, investing in a gym membership can offer a couple of months of access to a locker and shower, helping you stay presentable as you look for employment."

    3. "A cab ride home when you've had too much to drink."

    4. "An air fryer, extra long telephone charger, eyemask for better sleep, and a bidet attachment for your toilet."

    5. "A sunrise alarm clock, trust me it’s worth it. Waking up to light instead of that annoying phone alarm just hits different, way better for my mood."

    6. "Electric toothbrush. Your future self will thank you."

    7. "A decent kitchen knife. It is an absolute game changer to cut through onions properly without it being mashed by a blunt blade."

    8. "Install a carbon monoxide detector in your bedroom. In the rare event (one in a million) that an appliance or heater malfunctions, it will alert you in time to escape before you suffocate in your sleep."

    9. "Good pillow and sheets. You’ll spend 1/3 of your life on them."

    10. "The Squatty Potty (or a knockoff version) has completely changed my life."

    11. "A heated throw. It can save you a lot of money in the winter and make you more comfortable. It can be life-changing because who can afford to heat their house all day long in the winter?"

    12. "Automatic tire pump: a lifesaver for someone like me with a bad back. BYO modem. Not only does it save on the rental fee, but in my experience, it's a better connection than the first-party junk from Comcast. Rotary Shaver. It saved me the hassle/cost of going to the barber. Rechargeable AA/AAA batteries with a charger. The initial cost is higher than disposables, of course, but in the long run, I think it's well worth it. Lastly, a TV antenna with a USB booster, if one lives in an area with decent coverage like a city it's basically free entertainment after the initial purchase."

    13. "100% cotton bath sheets, aka, big ass towels and a diatomite bath 'mat.' The large towels dry you faster and make normal towels seem like washcloths. The diatomite bath mat is solid, like a cutting board, and absorbs moisture instantaneously."

    14. "As bad as it sounds, Instacart premium has saved me so much time and allowed me to work overtime at the office simply because I didn't have to go grocery shopping after work."

    15. "For me, an electric knife sharpener. I will never be that guy with insanely sharp Damascus steel knives that can shave a tomato the thickness of a hair, BUT I can sharpen things to a point I am not crushing, reduce fatigue on my wrists, and make my life easier. It has made a huge difference for me and as a side bonus my MIL is afraid of my knives now and stays away from my cooking. I would like to learn how to sharpen knives one day, but it has made cooking joyful again."

    16. "A robe, seriously. I got an Alexander del Rosa robe . It's super thick and comfortable as hell. I wear it during the winter, and I don't even need my heater on. It was about $70."

A Halo Bolt charger for emergencies. It will charge your car battery, fill a flat tire, charge your phone, has emergency light, plug for lamp, radio etc & holds a full charge for over a year without recharging.
