    RGIII

Robert Griffin III… you can’t be doing that.

The former football player and current media personality was just trying to enjoy Paris, France with his wife Grete Griffin when a photo op made him the center of social media scrutiny. And I’ve got to be honest, RG3 kind of brought this meme storm onto himself.

While enjoying the Olympic games, Griffin and his wife apparently stumbled upon a shop in Paris, France that sells colossal croissants. And when I say colossal, I really mean it. I’ve never seen a croissant this large, and I’d venture to say that you haven’t either.

If RG3 would have just held the flaky pastry with his wife in the picture he posted, the internet discourse would have focused on the staggering size of the croissant. Instead, the Griffin couple went with a… questionable pose that has sparked a social media frenzy.

    Take a look:

Delete the post RG3! Delete it! There’s still time!

Just a critical, should-have-thought-about-that-pose-more mistake by Griffin and his wife. Clearly he was just trying to capture a wonderful moment with his wife and a massive croissant, but they should have just… I don’t know, held it up next to them?

Really anything would have been better than that, and social media was quick to call out RG3:

And that’s just the tip of the meme iceberg… there are a multitude of jokes out there making fun of Robert Griffin III about this one. The former Baylor star saw the commentary around his questionable croissant photo and sent out a reply to try and calm the storm:

No you can’t RG3… at least not like THAT.
