Southeast Wisconsin weather: Wet weather ahead, temperatures cooling off

Sunday evening looks pleasant with temperatures falling into the 70s, and only a 10 % chance for a shower. Overnight we see a better chance for thundershowers to develop, a few of those may produce moderate rain, small hail, and lightning. Lows will fall to around 70, and it will remain muggy.

Monday does not look like a wash out for the area, but we will see the chance for developing rain and storms late in the afternoon into Monday evening. The day will be mainly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s. The best chance for rain and storms arrives late Monday night through early Tuesday. Heavy rainfall is a concern, with 1-2" of rainfall is possible. A few stronger storms may produce gusty winds and hail.

Rain is still with us Tuesday morning but moves out by Tuesday afternoon. The rest of the day is cool and breezy; highs will top out around 70 with NE winds gusting up to 30 mph.

The weather looks pleasant Wednesday through Friday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s and dew points will be near 60.
