Kesha is speaking out after realizing she was put in danger recently when she took the stage at Lollapalooza 2024 while holding a knife. The "Die Young" singer performed at the music festival in Chicago on Thursday, Aug. 1, and she used a knife while singing her 2010 track "Backstabber."

The singer planned to use a prop knife, but she said the blade was allegedly switched out for a real one without her knowledge. "Sooooo apparently the prop knife went missing and they replaced it with a real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen. and I didn’t know. till now. so watch that again," the "Tik Tok" singer wrote on X.

In the performance , Kesha was brandishing the knife, making stabbing movements, and dancing across the floor with what she know believes was a real knife and not a prop.

Her fans responded to the tweet expressing concern, and saying how "unprofessional" the situation was. One fan shared a photo of Alec Baldwin, referencing a somewhat similar situation that took place on the film set for his movie Rust where a prop gun fired off a real live round, killing the film's cinematographer.

During Kesha's set on Thursday, she shared viral footage of Vice President Kamala Harris saying "You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?” She had previously told TMZ that she intends to support the politician during her presidential run this year. Last week, Kesha slammed Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance for saying the country is run by “ childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”

“Boo! F--- that man! That’s all I have to say. F--- them all,” Kesha said when TMZ asked about her thoughts on his comments.

Ahead of her performance at the music festival, Kesha tweeted: "Bring your middle fingers lolla, f-ck u JD Vance, Night night twittts."
