Residents invited to provide feedback on Southwest Tempe character plan

If you live, work or volunteer in Southwest Tempe, the city seeks your input on community planning for the area’s character plan.

The draft Southwest Character Area Plan is a long-range plan, developed with community input, to help ensure that new development is consistent with the area’s existing character while supporting the preferences of the community, a city release explained.

Those who provide input here by midnight on July 22 will be entered to win two movie tickets — one entry per person. Movie ticket entry is open to those who live, work or volunteer in the Southwest Tempe character area.

Tempe encourages community members to participate in the character area planning process to help shape their community’s future, according to the release.
