Learn wire wrapping at Art Center Morro Bay

– The Art Center Morro Bay will host a jewelry wrapping workshop on Saturday, July 20, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop, priced at $150 for MBAA members and $165 for non-members, will be held at the Art Center Morro Bay.

Participants will learn fundamental wire wrapping techniques, including how to shape and manipulate wire to create intricate designs. The workshop will cover the creation of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. No prior experience is necessary, and each student will select their own bead collection, ensuring that no two pieces are the same.

Instructor Li Li Clever, a jeweler with 25 years of experience, will lead the workshop. Clever will demonstrate multiple techniques and work individually with each student to address their artistry level. During the two-hour class, participants will gain hands-on experience utilizing three simple tools, 24 gauge wire, and a vast array of beads produced by the artist.
