    Sock Puppets topple Axmen, Doughboys dominate in JC

    (WJHL) – With less than a week until the All-Star Break, teams in the Appalachian League West Division continued to search for victories on Tuesday night.

    Sisneros snagged by Cubs in 2024 MLB Draft

    A trio of early runs pushed Burlington past Kingsport on James Mitchell Bobblehead Night , 6-3.

    Josh Campos, Cal Sefcik and Tyler Myatt all turned in RBI for the Axmen in defeat.

    In Johnson City, a four-run third inning opened the flood gates, as the Doughboys dominated the State Liners, 13-3.

    Nine Johnson City batters notched at least one RBI, while Colby Backus and Christian Toledo led the way with two each. Colin Woodham earned the victory on the mound, pitching 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, while striking out five batters.

    Dylan Mass and Esteban Garcia accounted for the Bristol RBI in the loss.
