Night construction continues on El Camino Real near Del Rio Road

– The City of Atascadero has approved night construction on El Camino Real, just north of Del Rio Road, which started on Sunday, July 14, and will continue and Monday, July 15. The work involves trenching, installing a private sewer lateral, and connecting it to the city sanitary sewer main for a new commercial development at 1860 El Camino Real. Construction will take place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The night work aims to minimize traffic delays on El Camino Real and limit impacts on the City’s sanitary collection system. During the construction, El Camino Real will be reduced to one lane with traffic shifted to the east side of the roadway to accommodate the construction area. The contractor will provide traffic control and flaggers. Residents are asked to be respectful of construction workers and drive carefully in the area.
