Ted and Marie’s Colonial Inn in Oshtemo has been serving the community since 1973 when Ted Corakis purchased The Colonial Inn after working at different restaurants for the past few years. Now, the family passes the baton as Ted and Marie’s son, Themi Corakis and his wife Shelly, take over the restaurant as the new owners. This news was first seen in MLive .

There are plenty of options around Kalamazoo for a quick bite, but family cooking carries a unique sentiment, and Ted and Marie’s at 6416 Stadium Dr. is the place for those who need to start their day with a touch of nostalgia and heartwarming hospitality.

For over half a century, Ted and Marie’s has served fresh, “made-to-order” breakfast to the Kalamazoo community at an affordable price that remained the same regardless of how much the outside world has changed. Most items are below $10. As mentioned by MLive, “an order of bacon, potatoes, eggs, and toast is less than $8 at the restaurant.”

“This is a family tradition, so we are not changing anything. Everything will remain the same.” Corakis told What Now Detroit over the phone.
