Small businesses can apply for grants up to $2,000 per employee to offset increased costs associated with employees out on leave

    – The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce has announced its partnership with the California Paid Family Leave Grant (CPFLG) to provide financial support to small businesses. This initiative offers grants up to $2,000 per employee on paid family leave.

The California Paid Family Leave Program allows eligible small businesses in California with 1 to 100 employees to apply for grants up to $2,000 per employee to offset increased costs associated with employees out on leave. The program supports California workers taking paid leave to bond with a new child, care for a seriously ill family member, or participate in a qualifying event due to a family member’s military deployment.

Businesses impacted by the California Paid Family Leave Program will face increased costs, such as upskilling existing staff to cover the duties of the employee on leave, hiring and training additional staff, marketing, recruitment, and other reasonable foreseeable training costs.

This collaboration aims to ease the burden on local entrepreneurs by providing resources to maintain operations while supporting their employees’ family needs.
