The Farmington Hills Planning Commission reviewed a new Sheetz restaurant proposed at 27815 and 28025 Middlebelt Road . The restaurant will be constructed with a gas station on the same pad. SkilkenGold Real Estate Development , a family-owned commercial real estate development company based in Columbus, OH, developed the project.

Application materials indicate the new Sheetz restaurant will have an e outdoor dining, a carryout counter, and a drive-through. The new approximately 6,139-square-foot Sheetz restaurant and convenience store will feature a brick facade, glass entryways, and large glass windows, as well as covered seating on a patio. There will also be a double-lane drive-thru that is open 24/7.

Family-owned Sheetz is known for its 24/7 service and food offerings. The chain has over 700 locations throughout the United States, but none of them are in Michigan. A Hometown Life coverage mentioned the chain “plans to open about 60 locations in southeast Michigan in the coming years.”
