Can you give a home to Cheerio the Beaver County Humane Society's 'Dog of The Week'?

(Dog of The Week is a regular feature by the Beaver County Humane Society seeking forever homes for adoptable dogs.)

Good morning! I’m Cheerio. Nice to meet you.

I'm a 1-year-old, neutered, Pit Bull Terrier mix − an easy-going guy with a big heart. I weigh 71 pounds and I’ve been at the shelter since April.

When I think about my perfect home, I realize I would love a place that is all about me. That means lots of love and attention, but also no young kids and no cats. I may like a doggy friend, but I would want to meet them first. It's always better that way, don't you think?

The staff at the shelter say that I’m a dynamic, clever, handsome boy. I’m glad they think so highly of me! In all honestly, I came to the shelter as a stray, so they don’t know what my life was like before I got here. There are lots of sad stories like mine, but I'm hoping for a happy ending.

Can you see how hopeful I am? Just look at my face in this picture. I'm hope in a cute doggie package.

Here’s what a staff member has to say about me:

“I love it when Cheerio visits me in the office! More than treats, toys, or anything else, he just wants to cuddle and spend time with me. When he’s not laying in my lap or begging for my lunch, he likes to watch cars drive by though the window. He watches them so intently, as though he knows one of the people in those cars could be his forever family.”

For more information about Cheerio, contact: The Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Center Township 15001, or call 724-775-5801.

Bull Terriers are the most loving dogs IF / WHEN they're properly trained.
