    Five arrested in Bay County following two search warrants

    BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Friday, five individuals were arrested after two search warrants were served by members of the BCSO Special Investigations Division.

    On June 6, investigators served a search warrant at 2608 Mound Ave, looking for narcotics. Investigators said they received information about illegal narcotics activity in the residence.

    According to a news release, Richard Hayes Jr. was wanted on warrants for a felony Failure to Appear and was living in the residence. Investigators said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during the search warrant.

    Authorities said Hayes was located in the backyard of the property and arrested for his outstanding warrants when Bay County Code Enforcement responded to the scene.

    Numerous violations were noted, including illegal and unsafe connections to power from power lines to the residents, according to authorities.

    Investigators said 56-year-old Richard Croff was also located in the home and 48-year-old Richard Hayes was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Hayes’s failure to appear warrant.

    On June 7, the Special Investigations Division assisted the Florida Department of Corrections Probation and Parole during a probation check at the camper. During this probation check probable cause for a search warrant was developed, authorities wrote.

    During the service of the search warrant, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia were found in the camper, authorities confirmed.

    Candidates secured for upcoming primary election

    The occupants of the camper who were arrested in this case were 54-year-old Dawn Maxvill, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation; 30-year-old Chaunce Kuykendall for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fentanyl, and violation of probation; 59-year-old Joe Shirah for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    The owner of the property was cited by code enforcement and the property was condemned until proper repairs can be made to make the property safe.
