The dogs are now in the care of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. The Saratoga County Animal Shelter cares for 17 puppies because some dogs gave birth.

Sud-Nieves was ordered to one year of probation for animal ownership to prevent further breeding and animal sales. Mohawk Hudson Humane Society said all of the dogs received treatment for several illnesses, parasites, skin conditions, malnourishment, and overall poor conditions from their unsanitary living conditions.

Some of the dogs have been put up for adoption and can be found on the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society website. Roughly $140,000 worth of care has been given to the dogs, and donations to the shelter can be made online.
