Cooling down with some rain chances - Kelly

WHAT WE'RE TRACKI NG :

• Period of light rain passing through early this afternoon
• Cooler temperatures by Wednesday
• More widespread rain chances Thursday night

PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Look for passing rain showers through mid afternoon with peeks of late afternoon sun. Highs will be near 70.  Look for partly cloudy skies tonight with lows in the upper 40s.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Behind a cold front early Wednesday, dry air returns and keeps the rain chances at bay until Thursday night as a system quickly moves in and out of the area with showers and a few isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will stay near to slightly above average into the upcoming weekend. Next week, we are watching the possibility of a strong storm system, which could bring very mild temperatures back to southern Wisconsin, along with breezy conditions and a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
