Aiming to direct students’ attention toward learning, the Pasco County School Board on Tuesday adopted more limits on when cellphones may be used during the school day.

Across all grade levels, Pasco students must keep their phones silenced and stowed away during classes, unless a teacher gives permission to use them for lessons.

the district doesn't have a computer or tablet for each student. Many teachers allow students to use their phones to submit work AND take tests. Then deep in the policy they allow teachers to use their own discretion on allowing students to use their phones. let's also agree that the district denies any bullying my students and or teachers unless a child shows video. When the video evidence surfaces, administrators with the school tell the students what they recorded violates school policy. until All students have electronic devices supplied by the district and camera are installed in every classroom, I want my children to be able to record crimes the district sweeps under the rug.

Perhaps the parents could learn to put the damn things down and spend some time with their children also.
