    Fire damages storage unit near Seven Devils Town Hall

    FOSCOE — A fire damaged a storage unit Monday evening, June 3, in Foscoe.

    According to Watauga County Fire Marshal Shane Garland, multiple departments were dispatched to the 10600 block of NC 105 for a reported structure fire on Monday, June 3.

    Arriving Foscoe units found active fire in one of the storage units located on the property. The fire was controlled within 30 minutes and contained to the one unit. No injuries were reported.

    According to Garland, a mechanical malfunction caused the fire.

    Foscoe Fire, Boone Fire, Linville Fire, Seven Devils Fire, Watauga Medics, Watauga Rescue, and the Watauga Fire Marshal’s Office were dispatched to the scene. The fire was reported at approximately 11 p.m.
