Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella said she is suffering memory loss due to new medication she is taking amid her brain cancer battle .
“I don’t remember Tuesday ’cause I’m given this drug to protect my hearing and just because I have a reaction to it, they give me Ativan,” the 19-year-old said in a video posted to her YouTube channel Wednesday.
“And for some reason — this happened last time too — I can’t remember a single thing about that day.”
The video then flashed back to a clip of Isabella in the hospital, saying she was about to eat a sandwich that she didn’t “remember ordering.”
The University of Southern California student said she was excited that she only had “one more round” of chemotherapy.
“I’m just sitting on my couch now — literally I just want it to be June already,” she said. “I just wait around for the next time I get chemo and I’m kind of scared like, once I’m done, how am I gonna go back to normal life?”
Isabella and Strahan, 52, emotionally announced her diagnosis in January.
“I didn’t notice anything was off ’til probably like Oct. 1,” she told Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” at the time.
“That’s when I definitely noticed headaches, nausea, couldn’t walk straight.”
“It’s not as bad as the first time but I’m really in pain. They do give me pain medicine … they don’t work that well on me. So I’m in a lot of pain,” she said.
Earlier this week, Strahan shared a heartwarming video of Isabella and her twin sister, Sophia, playing with their dog, Enzo.
In the clip, their sisters’ furry friend placed his paw on their hands as they laughed.
“These three are amazing but who is my favorite🤔? LOL❤️❤️,” the “Good Morning America” host captioned the post.
Amid Isabella’s health issues, Strahan has partnered with the United Football League to raise money for Brain Tumor Awareness Month.
“Let’s #GoGrayinMay to conquer and cure brain tumors – once and for all. T-shirts are available at shop.theufl.com,” the former football star wrote on Instagram Wednesday.
All proceeds will go towards the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke.
