Fans appointed a new "idiot" this Wednesday on The Bold and the Beautiful and the honor goes to Hope.
Hope was with her mother Brooke, stepfather Ridge and Steffy and told them that her biological dad Deacon and Sheila were getting married. All hell broke loose when Brooke, Ridge and Steffy heard the news, they could not understand why Deacon would do that and pretty much called him crazy for wanting to marry Sheila .
Hope let them know that Deacon is committed to Sheila in love with her. Brooke tried to tell Hope to put her foot down and perhaps she could change her dad's mind. She also reminded her to protect her children against Sheila.

Hope reassured her mother that she would protect her family against Sheila and she reminded her mother she already cut Deacon out of her life and he still picked her.
Brooke and Ridge warned Hope that Sheila is not be trusted, Brooke said "there's no middle ground with Sheila" and Ridge declared that Sheila coming from the dead doesn't change that. Brooke doesn't want Hope to see Deacon like Sheila does.
Her mother acknowledged Hope's kindness but said you cannot start giving that consideration towards Sheila. Hope responded that it was not about Sheila, but her dad. She has already lost enough and doesn't want to lose a relationship with her dad. She wants to try and maintain a bond with him.
Then Hope dropped the bomb on Brook and Ridge that Deacon asked her to attend the wedding and be Sheila's maid of honor. Both and Ridge are in shock and disbelief at the news when Hope says she was keeping it in mind.
Sheila and Ridge called the news "unacceptable." Hope once again stressed to her mom and Ridge, that it's not about Sheila but her relationship with her dad. Brooke cautioned Hope, that if she attended, Sheila would not see it as Hope only supporting her dad as Hope claimed.
Fans went to social media to express their frustrations with Hope, especially because of Sheila's villainess past. They thought Hope was being an "idiot" for even considering going to the wedding and being Sheila's maid of honor.
"Hope: No mom of course I would never forgive all the horrible things she’s done. Or forget the many ways she’s hurt people I care about…. God lord Hope is truly an idiot," said one fan on X formerly known as Twitter, referring to what Hope said to her mother during the conversation about Deacon and Sheila getting married.
"And Hope?!!? Nah it’s not about your dad. It’s about Finn and sticking it to Steffy imo" said a second fan. Another said: "Hope has absolutely no backbone whatsoever. Brook and Ridge are right, Sheila wouldn’t take it as her just being there for Deacon. I just can’t get into this Sheila redemption nonsense"
"Hope you can still have a relationship with your father without showing support to the psycho who put Steffy & her family through the ringer!" said a fourth fan.
