Morning storms give way to clearing skies & warm temps -Chris

Good morning, after our morning storms clear out, skies will gradually clear and temperatures rise above average into the 80s across the area. We're also watching the threat for more severe weather this week with an ⚠Alert Day⚠ for Tuesday.

TODAY'S SEVERE RISK

• We have a low end risk for strong to low-grade severe storms with all hazards possible
• This threat is primarily in our northern counties and any storms that develop are expected to remain isolated
• These storms will be possible late this afternoon/evening

SEVERE CHANCES THIS WEEK

• We do have an elevated to enhanced risk for severe weather across the entire area Tuesday
• We do have an Alert Day in place for Tuesday's severe threat
• All severe hazards are possible
• Timing is looking to be in the afternoon and evening, with the best chance for severe weather between 3:00pm and 10:00pm

WHAT WE'RE TRACKING

• Our morning storms will be all but done by noon, with just a few lingering showers
• Temperatures will rise above normal today, heading into the mid and even upper 80s

• Isolated to widely scattered storms are possible in our northern counties late this afternoon/evening
• While there is a low severe risk, most of us will remain dry, with the greater threats well to our north

• As we kick off our Tuesday, we're mostly clear and mild, starting in the low 70s for most of us
• It won't be until after 3:00pm before we see an opportunity for severe thunderstorms
