    WVSSAC Approves Changes To high school Football And Basketball

    PARKERSBURG, W.Va. ( WTRF ) – With four classes coming to West Virginia high school football next school year the WVSSAC announced changes Thursday. Teams will now receive 15 points for a Four- A win ,12 points for a Three-A win, nine points for a double-A win and and six for a class A victory. Schools will also now receive one bonus point for a win regardless of the opponent’s classification.

    On the basketball side they have done away with sectional tournaments and both sections will now play in the regional with seeding done by the coaches. It will be single elimination but there will be two regional champs that will advance to the state tournament.
