More than 200 protestors were arrested Thursday morning as police dismantled the pro-Palestine encampment on the UCLA campus.

Many of the protestors were still being processed Thursday afternoon at the downtown L.A. Twin Towers detention facility. KNX News’ Karen Adams reported that the protestors who were already released appear to be more of the easy cases.

Supporters of the pro-Palestinian group and members of the public defender’s office were at the facility.

“We are committed to providing legal representation and support to all those who have been arrested or may be facing legal proceedings,” assistant public defender Haydeh Takasugi said. “But at this time, we do not have information on what charges, if any, are going to be presented.”

She said they’ve been in contact with 132 of those arrested, some being students and staff at UCLA. Takasugi said some people were given citations to appear in court in July.
