It's the ebb and flow of business that new businesses open and others close constantly. In the case of Walmart, it's the closing of centers in both Missouri and Illinois that will end permanently.

USA Today was the first place where I saw the word that Walmart is moving on from one aspect of its former business. The press release from the Walmart corporate site dropped the word that Walmart would be closing all of its health centers. This news directly affects two locations in Missouri and Illinois.

The Missouri Walmart that is affected is located at 7207 N Hwy M1 in Gladstone, Missouri.

The Illinois Walmart that will close its health center is located at 1715 N Kilpatrick Avenue in Chicago.

The USA Today report confirmed these Missouri and Illinois closings. Walmart said in their statement that it was not an easy decision to close health centers that many in Missouri and Illinois have come to depend on, but there "is not a sustainable business model for us to continue".

What about the employees in these Missouri and Illinois Walmart health centers?

The corporate statement said all affected employees would be given 90 days pay and given the opportunity to transfer to other Walmart or Sam's Club locations.
