Local girl scouts troop hosting Taylor Swift and Disney theme summer camp

MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) – Summer is right around the corner, which means kids will be out of school with lots of free time on their hands.

The Marshall County Girl Scouts are prepping for their annual camp at the end of May and are inviting new members to join in on the fun!

It’s $35 to attend the camp, but you must register to be a girl scout first – which is $20.

The theme this year is Taylor Swift and Disney and will run from May 31 until June 2.

“We have fun things. We are doing water play, we tie dye. We’ve got all kinds of Taylor Swift themed things. We’re going to watch The Eras Tour. Then we’ve got a Disney movie we’re going to watch because we will earn a couple different badges there. So, we’re going to do Disney and Taylor Swift that way we cover all our bases because we know not everybody is a Swiftie, but a lot of us are.”

The last day to sign up is this Friday.

It’s $35 to attend the camp, but you must register to be a girl scout first – which is $25.

$35 is all inclusive. Attendants will receive a T-shirt, meals and snacks.

Supplies will be provided for all activities.

Unlike other camps, parents are invited to stay.

There are also options for those who want to attend camp during the day, but do not want to spend the night.

For those who do not want to stay the night, drop off is at 9 a.m.
