Warm, wet, and windy week ahead

What we're tracking: Low pressure systems exiting the Rockies this week tracking NE will bring daily rain chances as waves of showers and thunderstorms cross the state. No severe weather is expected and rain chances remain low near 30%. Some spotty showers that develop could contain a couple rumbles of thunder. Some breezy days return again late this week as these lows deepen and high pressure remains in the Gulf. Warm temperatures in the mid-upper 80s continue this week with low 90s possible today.

Next 24 hours: Warm weather arrives this afternoon as mostly cloudy skies in the morning decrease to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. A spotty shower or weak thunderstorm is possible in the late morning and again in the late afternoon as a sea breeze moves inland late. Any spotty shower developing in the afternoon today has the potential to strengthen and contain short lived strong wind gusts and tiny hail up to pea size, although this is not likely. Highs in the low 90s near 90 are expected today with an overnight low in the low 70s. We warm again to the upper 80s tomorrow under partly cloudy skies.
